A big fat THANK YOU to Lori for her amazing posts last week. Didn’t she do a terrific job? I can’t wait until I have some time to sit down and use her step-by-step instructions to make a hat, sweater, and baby leg warmers. So cute. And now for the giveaway. Lori, in conjunction with Unwind {the knitting store where Lori can be found working most Saturdays} are the generous hosts of this giveaway. If you are local to Utah, you should sign up for some of the knitting classes offered by Unwind, they all look fantastic! The KNITTING GIVEAWAY includes all the knitting supplies you need to do the projects Lori demonstrated last week {and then some} yarn included! This giveaway is valued at over $80.

These are all of the tools you’ll need to complete the three tutorial projects from L to R:
  • Size G Rosewood Crochet Hook
  • US Size 7 Single Point 10″ Bamboo Needles
  • US Size 5 Single Point 9″ Bamboo Needles
  • US Size 4 Double Point 6″ Bamboo Needles (not pictured)
  • 2 Steel Yarn Needles
  • Wafer-Thin Plastic Stitch Count Markers

Needles Descriptions:

  • US Size 7 Single Point 10″ Needles: Crystal Palace Brand made in Japan from selected bamboo hardened with a natural wax treatment. ($4.90)
  • US Size 5 Single Point 9″ Needles: Crystal Palace Brand made made in Japan from specially selected cured and polished bamboo. ($5.90)
  • US Size 4 16″ Circular Needles: The Cadillac of knitting needles. Made with a non-rusting turbo finish brass tips and a very soft cord that provides a smooth transfer that won’t snag yarn. ($15.95)
  • US Size 4 Double Point 6″ Needles (not pictured):
  • Made from waxed bamboo. The package includes 5 needles. ($6.50)


Finishing Tool Description:

  • Size G Crochet Hook: Made with sturdy rosewood and tip has a decorative edge ($8.00)
  • Steel Yarn Needles:
  • Includes 2 3/4″ needles that have a large enough eye for most yarns ($3.50)
  • Wafer-Thin Stitch Count Markers:
  • Includes 20 plastic stitch markers that will fit needle sizes US 0 – 15. Comes with a plastic case to hold them. ($2.00)

I would love these items! Many years ago my college roommate taught me how to knit. I was all ready to make a sweater but the project got put on the back burner. Now that my children are growing so fast, I’m ready to start on the project anew! These supplies would really help with that and other projects I have in mind.
