Baby Projects

I am a Design*Sponge devotee. I read it and a couple other design blogs for my work, and collect images of current trends, of things I love, and of potential inspiration. Last week, on DIY Wednesday, I found this wonderful gem. Now Mike and I already have a mobile for the baby, but I can’t wait to think of ways to incorporate these sweet birds into the baby’s room (which is still a storage room right now). Full instructions for the project can be found here.

This weekend, Mike and I started the dejunking project by doing a thorough cleaning of the house. My laundry room has never looked better, and I feel like I can really get started clearing out the baby’s room now. And once that’s done, it’s open season on craft projects for the baby! What crafts have you found and tried in preparation for your babies? I’d love to collect more great ideas.

Alright, this might be controversial, but I made a new car seat cover for our carrier. I couldn’t stand the fabric ours came with because it was so hideous.

After my MIL shrunk the cover and I couldn’t find a manufacturer approved replacement, I took apart the original cover and made my own. I love it!
