cozy cuteness

I'm wishing I even had the first inkling of knowing how to knit (crochet? do I even know the difference?) after admiring these colorful cozy accessories. Sadly, I've never picked up a needle (hook? which is it?)

it's featured on a little girl, but I would totally wear this hat every day, all winter long.

really, could keeping warm get any cuter than this?

anybody wanna make me one? or all?

I've seen that rainbow pompom hat before and LOVE it. I just got started crocheting, but I only know how to make one thing, so... guess I have a lot of learning left to do!

WV: rhompr. I always think of Baby rompers when I hear that word.

It's never too late to learn! I just learned to crochet last year and I'm 30. (Well, technically I learned as Merry Miss, but all I could do was chain.)

I'm hoping to learn to knit next year. (Gotta pace myself. ;))

Knitting is needles, crochet is hook. I can usually tell the difference based on how closely the yarn is worked (meaning is there a lot of loose stitches and holes-crochet- or is it pretty tight with no holes-knit). I am fairly adept at both, though I have never attempted hats or socks or gloves/mittens... Time to start learning I guess!

I recently tried to sew a baby blankie, which required three people just to help me pin the fabric together, and another 2 to help me undo all my mistakes with the sewing machine. Just to illustrate how deficient I am in crafty genes. But I certainly can admire!

You should totally learn how to knit! I took a class last winter and knitted myself a pretty sweet scarf.

Knitting is easy peasy, lemon squeezy. The straight lined stitching I mean.

Some people make it look so easy!

I'm hosting a giveaway on my blog for a crocheted headband and I just wish I knew how to make it all myself..

Christine,

I never would have pegged you for a knitter, but maybe in our adventure next summer you can teach me how to do sweaters in the car....

Oh, my! I need to have another baby boy so his grandma can make that little owl hat for him. Love it. Love them all! Thanks for sharing.

i've attempted lessons once from a friend - decided after about 4 hours and a disastrous snake looking piece, i couldn't do it! maybe someday when the patience is a little higher and the kids are older.

I taught myself to knit a few years ago by watching videos on knittinghelp.com. It's so relaxing!

My little Oliver needs that hat - we call him "Owlie!"
